About Acharya Hari Swami

His Holiness Acharya Srimad Hari Swamikal is the founder of the SakthiDham Tantra Peedtam and Brahmavidya Gurukulam at Kuttamperror, Mannar, District Alleppey. An Engineer by profession in his Poorvasrama, the Spiritual awakening of Swamiji occurred at the age of twenty-two.

Renouncing everything, he proceeded to the Himalayas. Visiting various spiritual destinations in the Himalayas and learning from the Siddha gurus of various schools of spirituality like Yoga, Vedanta, Vaishnava, Saakta, Saiva etc, He acquired mastery over these branches of learning from various established Masters and was awarded various titles by them..
He was formally initiated to Sanyasa  Deeksha in the true  Sri Vidya lineage of Adi Sankaracharya and was bestowed the Deekshita name of Sivachaitanya Natha , though in his native area , he is fondly referred to and known as Hari Swamikal.

Taking his interest in Tantra very seriously, Swamiji has obtained training in all the five branches of Saakteya Tantra, namely, Dakshina,Vaama, Divya, Samaya and Koula and granted Deeksha in each of these. At the command of His last Guru, Mata Bhairavi of Kamakhya in Assam, Hari Swamiji returned to Kerala  and started his work of reviving the sanctity of Saakteya traditions.

On 14th April,1997  He established the Brahma Vidya Gurukulam, and the Sakthidham Tantra Pedtam  which has today blossomed into a full-fledged Academy for training in Saakteya  Tantra Saastra. Students from around the world are benefitting from the Academy’s training program.

Swamiji has established the lone temple in Kerala dedicated to Sri Rajarajeswari in Baalamba aspect, at Kuttamperror in the Asram premises, where a Swayambhoo Ganapati, a Siddhavastu of Swamiji  is also installed .

The Brahmana Mahasabha of Kashi bestowed the titles of “Prvachana Saarvabhoumah”( Grand Master of Discourses)and “Abhinava Sukabrahmam” ( Modern Suka muni) in recognition of his excellence in the Art of presenting and interpreting the religious matters. Mata Bhairaviji gave him the title of “Acharya of the Time”

Swamiji’s most important contribution has been in interpreting the much-maligned and misunderstood Saakteya Tantra in the proper perspectives and establishing logically and authoritatively, why Saakteya is the right means to overcome the problems of Kaliyuga.
Not discounting his tremendous labor in other subjects, his next major contribution must be reckoned as the revival of training in Saakteya Tantra (through a series of personal coaching classes supplemented through Audio CDs. which can be listened to and the contents practiced at one’s convenience. His Book,” Saakteya—the Dynamics of Power”

Originally in Malayalam, and now in English also) has provided an authentic survey of Saakteya literature and also explained in rational and crystal clear language the mysteries associated with the Tantra.

Like every Acharya who loves his disciples, Hari Swamiji also has authored numerous books that help dispel myths and contradictions or inconsistencies in our religious practice. These books are written in lucid simple language and hence easily understood. Instructed by Swamiji, the disciples are then bold enough to clarify the doubts raised by others during discussions etc. with the help of these books, and these have become very popular.

Swamiji has demonstrated that the pursuit of Brahma does not necessarily have to be through the path of Renunciation In the years to come, the world will come to recognize the enormous contribution the Swamiji has been making to the cause of restoring Sanatana Hindu Dharma to its pristine glory. He has realized the need for making the Religion free from meaningless and conflicting practices and for re-establishing the superior intellectual foundation of this eternal way of life. Conducting various important Yajnas at the Gurukulam, he has demonstrated the authentic practice of these rituals and also indirectly rid them of a lot of irrelevant elements.
